I have read that laughter is linked to playfulness, and that play is any activity that tends to produce the experience of having fun or the emotion of joy. It doesn't mean you have to be childish - that's different than being childlike. There is something to learn from children- they laugh approximately 400 times a day, while adults laugh about 15 times a day.
Laughter and fun is good for you - a good belly laugh increases the heart rate, raises blood pressure, speeds breathing, and increases oxygen consumption (similar to jogging). Then breathing and heart rate slow (usually below normal levels), blood pressure drops, and muscles relax.
So, for my Self Care Today, I am going to look for opportunities for Fun, Laughter and Play!!!
Did you find any good laughs today?

Good idea.
I haven't had any yet. I just woke up.
1I love laughing. I try to bring humor and laughter into every situation. Also, I laugh when I get nervous...like when someone dies. It's a visceral response. I can't help it. However, I don't think that type of laughter brings joy.
I will laugh today, I'm sure. It just might be when I'm back at home...
2Well, today I had a lot of paper work to put out fast!!! Laughter in between really helped turn the wheel today!!!
